In collaboration with Colegio Puerto Aventuras High School and with support from Puerto Aventuras and Akumal Education (P.A.A.E.) and the Puerto Aventuras Guarderia and Ludoteca (daycare center) and Telesecundaria (middle school).

¡Hermanitos! is a mentorship program that matches high school-aged students in Puerto Aventuras with elementary school-aged youth from the Poblado. The students meet weekly in the Puerto Aventuras daycare center or the middle school to work on homework together, play games, do activities and practice English.

The program runs throughout the school year. All ¡Hermanitos! expenses (extra art materials, field trips, special events and snacks) are covered through the sale of denim eco-grocery bags designed and marketed by the students and stitched by local women.

We plan to expand the program to include adult mentors working with university students from Puerto. If you are interested in participating as a mentor, or would like more information, contact us.
